Questions From The Peanut Gallery
I've come out of the closet about my juice feast. It finally happened tonight while out celebrating a friend's graduation from the police academy.
I tried to downplay it as much as possible, figuring that most people wouldn't be very interested in the details. I was wrong. As it turns out, a lot of people are hungry for the information. All night long people pulled my aside and asked me all kinds of questions. I got the usual, "How are you not passing out? How do you get your protein? Aren't you hungry? I was amazed at the general lack of understanding that exists about nutrition (I've only recently begun to educate myself). I also realized that a lot of what people know about how the body works is wrong.
I decided tonight that I'm going to make it point to brush up on all things juice feasting and delve even deeper into educating myself about the effects of raw foods on the body. I need to be better prepared to answer questions when they come up. For now, I've got a whole new group of supporters that are rooting for my success, and waiting to see how this all works out. Stay tuned!!!!
Juicy Diary-Day 19
(Today's juices and supplements)
32 oz water+MSM+B12+Cascara Sagrada
15 oz cantaloupe/strawberry/blackberry
32 oz water + 3 tsp or green miracle powder
32 oz cantaloupe/strawberry/blackberry
20 oz water + lemon
32 oz green juice (kale, celery, cucumber, sweet peppers, carrots, garlic, and jalapeno)
60 oz water
Total juice = 79 ounces (0.62 gallons)
Total water = 164 ounces (1.3 gallons)
--------------------------------------
Sleep & dreams: 6 hrs. Felt pretty rested, too. No dream recall.
Exercise: walk with dog
Sauna: 20 minutes
Energy: Really high all day today and even...no ups and downs-just feeling great all day!
Comments: My juice consumption was down by quite a bit for the day, but that was intentional. My body just really craved a lot of water (some deeper cleansing coming my way perhaps?). It will be interesting to see how today's choices affect my energy tomorrow. Warning: poop talk ahead...I had 3 sizable BM's today-soft, but totally formed and unassisted. I still do plan to finish out the week with an enema.
